The work is based on the material (preserved in the CESA collection), collected during the field studies in Central and North Turkey in the year of 1992. Totally 268 diurnal species are recorded, belonging to the families, Papilionidae, Pieridae, Coliadidae, Argynnidae, Libytheidae, Satyridae, Riodinidae, Lycaenidae, Hesperiidae, Tineidae, Zygaenidae, Oecophoridae, Ethmiidae, Tortricidae, Pterophoridae, Pyralidae, Sphingidae, Geometridae, Cimeliidae, Drepanidae, Arctiidae, Ctenuchidae, Lymantriidae, and Noctuidae. All species are evaluated from faunistic and ecological stand points.
